UNICEF LACRO Urban Childhood Overweight and Obesity: Iztapalapa Workshop

This workshop was carried out as part of the Foodscapes research in parallel with a workshop in Santiago de Chile. The project was led by Gehl Architects, and ORU was invited as the local partner for the research in Mexico City.

The purpose of the workshop is to inform about the relationships of spatial and sociocultural dynamics in the well-being of children in vulnerable areas of the city. The workshop took place in La Ermita Iztapalapa-Zaragoza, an urban square with a community centre, an urban farming plot, a community kitchen along with other public spaces. All children of the neighborhood and their families were invited to take part.
