Five projects in Tultitlán
for the Urban Improvement Program, 2020
Tultitlán is an industrial area deeply impacted by resource extraction, urban expansion, and poverty. It is one of the most marginal municipalities in the State of Mexico in the outskirts of Mexico City. The five projects take advantage of Tultitlan’s industrial legacy to create a shared material palette to revitalize the manufacturing and construction economy promoting local employment.
The six projects are:
1. A public library and auditorium intertwined with a set of vegetated courtyards.
2. A fire station with public amenities and a sports courtyard.
3. The retrofitting of a Sports Unit.
4. Cultural center and library.
5. Municipal Market.
